Our Organist/Choir Director: Ilona Kubiaczyk-Adler

Ilona Kubiaczyk-Adler learned to perform at music schools in Poland, on piano since she was 8, and organ since the age of 16. In 2004, she graduated with firstclass honours from the Academy of Music in Lodz, Poland, receiving a Master of Art diploma. She studied organ and church music at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and received a Master of Music diploma in 2007.

For more than 10 years she has been giving private classes on piano and organ to children, teenagers and adults. For the last four years she has been working as an assistant professor in the Organ, Harpsichord and Early Music Faculty in the Academy of Music in Lodz, Poland, teaching organ performance, chamber music and accompaniment. She has also tought teenagers organ improvisation and organ performance in the Secondary Music School in Lodz.

Since 1998, Ilona has been an organist and accompanist in various Catholic and Protestant churches in Poland and Holland. She began to be active as a concert musician at the age of 15, and since then she has been performing as a soloist, a chamber musician, also with orchestras in Europe. For eight years she assisted the choir conductor, accompanied and sang with the Polish ensemble Madrigale and choir Con Vigore in chamber and symphonic concerts in Europe and South America. Ilona has often cooperated with other instrumentalists and vocalists in Poland, Holland and now in the USA. She often performs original music with her husband, pianist, organist and composer Jacob Adler in their duo ZEELAB.
